for First Selectman
Lynne is serving her first term as Wilton’s first selectwoman. Under her leadership, town government is smaller and more cost efficient, more responsive, and more transparent. Wilton is now a leader in fiscal management, shared services, and sourcing energy through renewables. Budget growth has been reduced to an average annual rate of .82%, and $3 million in unspent budget funds have been returned. At the same time, economic investment has increased, environmental initiatives have multiplied, and infrastructure and amenities have improved. Lynne and her husband Paul are 32-year residents and raised their son Paul, now an attorney in Washington, DC, in Wilton. Lynne currently serves as Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Western CT Council of Governments. She previously served as Vice Chair of Wilton’s Board of Finance, President of A Better Chance of Wilton, Development Chair of the Wilton Library, Treasurer of the Wilton Playshop, and as a member of the Board of Governors and Finance Chair of Fairfield College Preparatory School. Lynne is a retired certified public accountant, whose professional experience includes positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York. Lynne’s strong advocacy for Wilton, as seen in her responses to the Aquarion water diversion application and to mandated school regionalization proposals, will continue in her next term.
